Product Description
Our Twin over Full Mission Bunk Bed is carefully crafted for timeless style and lasting comfort. Expertly crafted of solid wood, the bed measures 62" high x 78.5" long x 59" wide. Bottom bunk is 11" off the floor. Each bunk comes with a slat roll foundation that is designed for use without a box spring or bunkie board. Use as a bunk bed now and later as two separate beds. At MOM'S safety comes first, so all of our bed designs meet or exceed both ASTM and CSPC safety standards. All wood is sanded and sealed with a clean, smooth coating to prevent splinters. Our finishes are child-safe and lead free. Ladder rungs are flat, not vertical, for your child's comfort and easy access to top bunk. Each bunk accommodates a standard sized mattress, one twin and one full, not included. This offer includes: (4) side rails, (2) head boards, (2) foot boards, (1) ladder, (26) slats and (1) center slat support for full size bed. Some assembly is required. These bunk beds are good-looking and serviceable. It took 2 people 3.5 hours to put them together, from unpacking the boxes to placing the twin bed on top of the full. Our one complaint -- and it's an important one -- is that when we put it together, we were surprised at how little clearance there is between the two beds: my daughter has to crawl into it, and she can't sit up even halfway. Last night when she rolled onto her side, she clonked her elbow on the underside of the top bunk.I contacted Donco Trading Co., stating the above and asking if they had "extension legs (or some other solution) that we could purchase to address this problem. Please let us know what options are available to us." This is the reply I received: "I'm sorry but that is how the bed comes. It's actually one of our best sellers. There is nothing we can do." How disappointing.A positive of the low clearance is that the top bunk is comparatively low to the ground and is therefore a little easier to make. Another negative is that it gets hot under there.

This product is very poorly made, the screw holes do not match up and the construction is very weak. My husband had to drill many new holes to make the screws line up. The wood split when the screws were drilled in, even when they went into the pre-drilled holes. The underbed drawers which were a required option were impossible to assemble due to the bottom of the drawer not lining up with the slats. Better to buy a higher quality bed that will last.

Just beware that it's you buy it you own it.DONCO Trading Co. has a poor customer service attitude so don't count on the manufacturerto give you any help.
