Pain in the butt to put together with just one person (it says to use 2, did not have anyone to help). Hands hurt very much from the allen wrench which is required for ALL major bolts. Worth the struggle, my son loves it. Color match on all the wood was perfect. It is Not press board it is real (soft) wood. Slide did not go together well, but with a bit of force and pulling the bolts as far out as possible with them still being attached it is stable. Holds both me and my son (so about 180 pounds). Overall a great product.

We ordered this bed for our 3-year-old son. It arrived earlier than expected and was packaged well. It came in two boxes, which made it easier for us to move around. There are a lot of pieces/parts, but it was easy to put together. My husband assembled in less than 2 hours. We are very happy with this product -- doesn't look cheap at all and it's very sturdy. So glad I found it on Amazon!Oh - for those who are wondering (like I did), the "tent" part only goes around 3 sides -- which means you have to leave the bed pushed against a wall on the long side (like the picture) if you want a true "fort" underneath. It worked for our room, but if you wanted to put the short side on the wall (like the headboard), you'd have an open-side. It'd be easy enough to buy a matching piece of fabric to fit on the long side, if you needed it. The fabric is simply secured by little cloth ties and velcro.

We got this in a couple weeks ago for our 3yr old. Packaging was easy to get into. The directions were very clear and the materials were in a plastic pouch, kind of like how an kids action figure is wrapped up. Total time it took me to assemble was around 45 minutes.
